All players must register at the proshop prior to their tee time. Players must not tee off until starter has arrived at the first tee or proshop has given direction.
Rules of Play
All play is governed by the current regulations of the RCGA. For local rules, please check your scorecard.
Men - Must wear shirts with sleeves at all times.
Ladies – no bathing suits or bikini tops
Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to your tee time. Failure to cancel tee times without proper notification (24 hours before tee time) will result in the course retaining the full Golf Fee to your credit card. Cancellation numbers will be given to confirm cancellation (24 hours prior to tee time).
In the event of inclement weather (see below), the cancellation fee may be waived, but we would appreciate a call as a courtesy to others wishing to book tee times. Players may call the golf shop 24 hours a day. If the proshop is closed when calling, you can leave a message at anytime (204-848-4653).
A golfer failing to honor a reservation made in his or her name shall be designated a no-show. A no-show is anyone not canceling a reservation tee time within the Clear Lake Golf Course cancellation parameters (24 hours); showing up for play with fewer than the number of golfers for whom the reservation was made, or failing to personally honor a reservation made in his or her name, unless inclement weather prevents play. The person who booked the tee time will be subject to a $40 NO SHOW FEE per player. Clear Lake Golf Course reserves the right to register any golfers in the vacated time(s). Weather forecasts and assumed inclement weather do not constitute reason for no show.
Very rarely do we have unplayable conditions at the Clear Lake Golf Course. If the Head Superintendant or Head Professional deem the course unplayable rainchecks (see below) will be issued. Players are responsible to call the proshop to see if the course is open for play.
Rain Check Policy
“Rain Out” is defined as an unplayable course, as determined by the Head Superintendent or Head Golf Professional. Rain checks will be issued, only for inclement weather, on a prorated basis (play 6 holes get a rain check for 12 holes). Players are responsible to provide their rain check receipts at the proshop when they wish to use them. Without a rain check receipt there is no record and they will be dismissed.
Pace of Play
The Clear Lake Golf Course will extend every effort to ensure that a round of golf does not exceed 4 hours and 45 minutes. Players failing to maintain their pace by dropping more than a hole from those in front will be given a warning from the course host (see below). If they have failed to close the gap by the next hole, they must pick up their balls and proceed to the next tee. The program is necessitated for the enjoyment of all other golfers on the course.
The course hosts purpose:
- Assist players
- Ensure the correct flow and pace of play
- Enforce the cart regulation and Club Policies
- Enhance the overall golf experience at the Clear Lake Golf Course
Any golfer with outside alcohol on the premises will have the alcohol confiscated and ask to leave the golf course with no refunds or reimbursements.
Rentals (Powercarts, Clubs, Pull Carts)
It is the responsibility of the player and/or the person that signed the agreement prior to play to return all rented items after completion of their round in as good condition as they received excluding normal wear or pay for replacement of all rented items at the value assessed by the Clear Lake Golf Foundation Inc.
Liability or Responsibility
The Clear Lake Golf Course assumes no liability or responsibility for any personal injury or damage and/or personal property that has been left at the golf course.
