COVID-19 Policy & Expectations
The spread of the COVID-19 virus around the world has raised concerns for everyone in these trying times. The Clear Lake Golf Course recognizes that the number one priority during these times is the well-being of our staff and customers. We want you to know that your health and safety will remain our top priority as this situation continues to evolve.

We know that everyone is anxious and excited to golf at the Clear Lake Golf Course. However, we ask that all of our golfers thoroughly read, understand and promise to follow and respect our COVID-19 protocols and any additional course specific protocols you may encounter.
​
Golf provides the community with a place for outdoor exercise and much needed positive mental health stimulation during this difficult time. Physical distancing can be easily achieved throughout the golf course and we ask that you please respect all golfers and workers around you. We are happy to invest in the new adaptations so that we can bring a safe outdoor activity for the community.

Current Operations Plan For The 2022 Season:

We will strictly adhere to guidelines established by local, provincial and federal governments.

The Proshop is open to pay and to view merchandise. Please adhere to all signage and arrows.

The Beverage Cart service will still be provided.

Our regular Policies and Procedures will remain in effect other than exceptions noted on this page.

The Clear Lake Golf Course has the right to match any number of golfers less than 4 with other players to form a foursome.

The bag drop will be CLOSED. Please follow the golf course arrival procedure as outlined below.

Golf Course Arrival Procedure:

Park your vehicle in the parking lot​ & leave your golf clubs in your vehicle

Check into the Proshop, ensuring you follow all signage on the floor and walls

Load your cart at your parked vehicle

Proceed to first tee and watch for physical distancing signs

As always, the health and safety of our members, guests and staff at the Clear Lake Golf Course remains of utmost importance. ​

Our Precautionary Steps To Stop The Spread:

Placed appropriate signage outside the pro-shop briefly outlining the physical distancing guidelines in place.

Provide clear professional signage informing members/guests of operational changes and encourage recommended sanitation practices.

Increase the frequency of cleaning, sanitation and disinfecting of all locations, especially high traffic areas such as counter surfaces, tables, public restrooms, door handles, golf carts, flagpoles, and more.

Educate staff on hygiene, sanitation and food handling, and its impact of preventing the spread of communicable diseases.

All transactions will be done online, by phone or in the proshop. We will accept cash however it is not the preferred method of payment.

All golf carts & pull carts will be washed and disinfected prior too and after each use.

Employees on site will be kept to a minimum and have been directed to increase the frequency and duration of hand washing.

Food and beverage will be provided at the 10th hole.

Golfers must not arrive more than 30 minutes before their tee time.

Golfers MUST have a pre-booked tee time to enter the golf course property. Walk-ups are not permitted.

Singles MUST call the proshop before entering our facility to be paired up with a group.

All golfers must practice physical distancing while playing as per the government guidelines.
Our Expectations of Golfers & Spectators:

If you have a cough, fever or have been in contact with someone that is not feeling well, do not come to our facility.

Please adhere to all provincial travel regulations and rules as outlined by the Government of MB.

Practice physical distancing (~6 feet apart) in the parking lot, around the proshop, at tee boxes, in the fairways and on the greens.

We will have disinfectant stations at the golf course, however, please bring your own golf towels and hand disinfectant as an extra precaution.

Refrain from picking up balls that aren’t yours as you don’t know who they belong to or where they’ve been.
-
If you are riding in a golf cart, ensure that your cellphone and personal property remain in your golf bag as much as possible – away from high-contact areas of the cart.

Please adhere to all COVID-19 signage and rules on both the golf course and in the proshop

Tamarack Golf Tournament Rules & Policies:

Rain Delay: When play is suspended due to inclement weather, please seek shelter on the golf course or in your vehicle. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and limited capacity in the proshop and restaurant, please do not seek shelter in these buildings unless otherwise told. Please seek safe shelter at your discretion.

Spectators: Spectators are allowed on the property to watch the 2021 Tamarack Golf Tournament. Spectators must follow all signage and physical distancing protocols on the property. Spectator cart rentals may or may not be available depending on the day. Please speak to the proshop to inquire.

Cart Rentals: Power carts cannot be reserved and will be available to rent but are limited as we cannot guarantee cart availability. There will be NO half cart rentals during tournament play. Full carts cost $44 for non-members and $22 for members. It is the players responsibility to collect half the full cart fee from their riding partner. Carts MUST be returned immediately following your round to the Wash Bay at the East end of the parking lot.

Personal Carts: Personal carts are allowed but must pay a trail fee and storage fee. Please contact the Proshop for personal cart details.

General Procedures: Please DO NOT arrive more than 20 minutes before your tee time. All other golf course and tournament policies must be followed at all times when on the property. Please see the Tamarack Rules & Information sheet for tournament specific rules.

The staff at the Clear Lake Golf Course will continue to monitor the recommendations of government and health officials as well as industry best practices and pass along relevant information and updates as necessary. If the situation changes, or updates are made to the above policies, we will be sure to inform you on our social media channels as well as to our email database.
